Ready Set Recycle is committed to the goal of preventing all cell phones, printer cartridges, rechargeable batteries and small electronics from entering landfills. We have been recycling in Nova Scotia since January 2009. Currently we have collection bins at the Atlantic Superstores (9), Universities (35), Halifax Regional Schools (16), Professional Centre’s (5), Mic Mac Mall, and other individual locations. With a lack of effort and awareness surrounding this type of recycling, we have formed partnerships with the IWK Health Care Centre of Halifax and the Ecology Action Centre. A portion of our recycling profits is donated to each of the charities as an incentive for consumers to recycle their unwanted items. Over the last 16 months, the program has proven to be viable and the collection amounts have become consistent and substantial.

We are currently in the process of seeking out more appropriate sites for collection points. High traffic locations such as ones at your facility are ideal for our program to work effectively. The program works like this:

1. We supply the bin/bins free of charge

2. You find an appropriate high traffic location at your site for the bin/bins

3. We provide the collection service including cleaning and maintenance to the bins monthly, unless determined otherwise

4. We add your site to our online map of all collection locations which can be found by CLICKING HERE

5. We provide you with a yearly break down of all items recycled through bins at your location which can be found by CLICKING HERE and is updated shortly after doing collections.

All bins are labeled in a unified manner. The bins are 1.5 ft. wide by 1.5 ft. deep by 3.5 ft. high. They are made with corrugated plastic and are sturdy and of high quality. We will provide any support necessary to maintain a hassle free environment for collection locations.

We are making a difference in the region through our recycling program and want to further our reach to increase community involvement.
